Access

Young woman using gym equipment

At our leisure facilities, we work hard to ensure that everyone is welcome and that our facilities are accessible to all.

Our gyms at Springwood Leisure Centre and Derby Arena all use Technogym equipment which is suitable for disabled and non-disabled people to work out together.

Our sports centres offer free admission for carers if they are helping a disabled person take part in an activity.

Generic Emergency Evacuation Plan

It is essential that all members of the public that are unable to exit the building by using the stairs in an event of an emergency, such as power failure or fire alarm, make it known to staff on reception.

We will then inform you on where we would meet you in the event of an emergency and briefly explain how we would help you leave the building.

Alternative formats

Our printed materials are available in large print, on audio CD and in Braille. Please come and see us at the reception or contact us on leisure@derby.gov.uk to request a copy and we will be able to accommodate you.

Feedback

Even though we strive to make our facilities as accessible as possible we would welcome your feedback and any suggestions that you have. We strive for the best and therefore your comments are essential to us.

Please get in touch using our contact form, over the phone on 01332 641234, by emailing leisure@derby.gov.uk or in person at one of our leisure facilities.
