The Movement is a great programme keeping young people active and healthy.
The Movement offers a brilliant gym, swim and group exercise card for young people aged 11 to their 17th birthday, for the price of £1.20 per session. Children and young people can also get help with managing their weight through the Live It programme, and support to help quit smoking through the Kick It programme.
What activities are available?
Young people aged 11-16 can use the gym facilities for just £1.20 at Queen's Leisure Centre, Springwood Leisure Centre and Derby Arena. If Young people want to access the gym outside of the Movement times they must be accompanied by an adult (18 years and over). Please note, this is restricted to the use of cardio and resistance machines, although they would be able to use free weights from 16 years old.
Swimming is available at Queen's Leisure Centre during public swim sessions, for young people aged 11-16, at a cost of £1.20. Public swim times vary throughout the year, so remember to check the pool programme here.
Football, dancing, Zumba, circuits and boxfit are just some of the many activities on offer through The Movement! Check the website for updates throughout the year.
