Badminton courts can be booked from Tuesday 6 April at Springwood Leisure Centre, in readiness for re-opening on 12 April depending on availability. In the first phase of opening until at least 17 May 2021 you will need to be in the same household or support bubble to be able to play together.

To book at Springwood please call 01332 640333. You will be asked at the time of booking to confirm that you are in the same household.

There are currently no courts available at Derby Arena, as we continue to support as a venue for the NHS Vaccination Centre.

Squash courts are currently unavailable, we will update this web page when we have availability.

Frequently asked questions

Q: How many people can play on a badminton court?
A: We will allow a strict 4 people per court for doubles but these must be from the same household or support bubble.

Q: How are you keeping the distance in the sports hall for badminton courts?
A: We will ensure there are dividing nets where necessary and spacing between courts and customers will be allocated a court on arrival.

Q: Will squash be available at Springwood Leisure Centre.
A: Unfortunately not in this stage of opening due to the court's lack of fresh air movement. This will be continually reviewed in-line with government and sports guidance.
