Archive for running a library
* Please note applications are now closed *
Ten Derby libraries are becoming community managed, as part of the Council's plans to safeguard them. This includes libraries in:
- Chaddesden (The Phillip Whitehead Memorial Library)
Direct Help and Advice (DHA) were successful in submitting their applications to become responsible for all ten libraries following a thorough evaluation process. The local charity aims to have reopened all Community Managed Libraries by the end of the year.
In the meantime, DHA is looking for volunteers to help run these libraries and would love to hear from you if you'd like to get involved.
Whether you want to run things or just help out for a couple of hours a week, there's a role for you.
To find out more about volunteering in Derby's Community Managed Libraries, please call DHA on 01332 287850.
