There's so much to do at Alvaston Park...
Pack a picnic and enjoy a relaxing day sitting by the lake and river. A popular spot for wildlife, you're sure to see plenty of ducks, geese and maybe even a heron!
There are 85 acres of land available to enjoy and explore - take a walk around the park and take in the open space whilst you stretch your legs.

Alvaston Park Pirates Model Boating Club
Alvaston Park Pirates meet each weekend at Alvaston Park to sail their own model boats out on the lake. The club also hold special regatta events and take part in events. For further information please visit the Alvaston Pirates Model Boat Club website.
Route 6 of the National Cycle Network through Alvaston Park linking the park to Derby City Centre or the opposite direct to Elvaston Castle, or join the canal towpath towards Chellaston and beyond.
