Friends of’ volunteers help to keep Derby’s parks looking great
‘Friends of’ groups are predominantly made up of local people who are interested in helping to look after their nearby green space. In Derby, there are over 18 of these groups, which share best practices at the Derby Green Spaces Forum, and together help to improve play areas, community gardens, woodland and Local Nature Reserves.
If you have some spare time, want to meet new people, share your skills or learn new ones, you could become one of the many volunteers that help out in our parks.
If you think you would like to get involved, visit Derby Parks Volunteers website or Derby Parks Volunteers Facebook.
