Football pitches
Football is a popular and inclusive sport enjoyed by many. Get some friends or family members together and enjoy a game!
Where can I play?
Outdoor synthetic pitches:
- Moorways Stadium is a full sized pitch with flood lights and changing rooms.
- Springwood Leisure Centre has a 5-a-side pitch filled with sand/rubber, especially designed for football.
- The Racecourse - Steve Bloomer Artificial Turf Pitch (ATP). Floodlights, changing rooms and club room also available.
- Alvaston Park has a grass pitch. Floodlights, changing rooms and club room also available.
Outdoor grass pitches:
- Moorways Stadium has full sized pitches used for football and coaching.
- Normanton Fields
- Darley Fields
- Chellaston Park
- Osmaston Park
Indoor:
- Both Derby Arena and Springwood Leisure Centre have courts available for 5-a-side football.

How to book
You can book courts and activities online, at facility receptions, or by calling 01332 641234.
Please note - for the first time you book online you will need a membership number, which you can get by calling 01332 641234 or by emailing leisure@derby.gov.uk with your full name, date of birth, postcode and email address.
