Volunteers tackle the winter weather

Wed 10 Jan 2018

No amount of rain or frost can stop these volunteers!

The cold, wet winter weather didn't stop these wonderful volunteers from getting involved in repairing fences, protecting young trees, removing invasive species and litter picking in Chaddesden Wood last Saturday morning.

Friends of Chaddesden Woods is just one of the wonderful Friends groups making a huge difference across Derby Parks by looking after their local green spaces.

Friends of Allestree Park are also doing their part for their local park this weekend with a tree planting session. Come along to the main car park at 10am on Sun 14 Jan with your outdoor clothing, sturdy boots, and a spade if you have one! Be part of a great project to help Derby's environment.
