The library is closed for essential roof repairs, and will reopen later this year.

Improvements include a new children’s area, upgraded computers, fresh interior paint, and opening on Saturday mornings.

Building alterations at Riverside Chambers are in progress. These works include changes to part of Derby Local Studies and Family History Library’s storage areas and will impact access to some library materials and to customer donations until 31 August 2026.
