Athletics
Darley Park Run
These sessions are 5km timed runs, you can track your time and see your progress through Parkrun UK's website.

Village Athletics
Run Jump Throw clubs are designed for children to participate in athletics activity all year round, providing an opportunity to take part in fun competitions throughout the summer and winter seasons.

It's fun for Year 5 to 8 children, and is great for running, jumping and throwing skill development.

Badminton
Badminton for Juniors
Derbyshire Performance offer junior coached sessions at Derby Arena for under 18s of all abilities, including beginners, who would like coaching to improve and develop their skills. Initial two hour taster sessions are free – we then have a club membership system for those interested in joining. Coaching is provided by qualified L2 and L3 coaches. These sessions offer a first class junior pathway for young players to get into Badminton.
The sessions are run under the auspices of the Derbyshire Badminton Performance Centre and Badminton England.

Canoeing
Midland Canoe Club
The club runs kayak sessions through the winter. Starting in October and running up until Easter.
Non members are welcome to come for a 1h taster session, and then up to 3 additional guest sessions of 30min. Space is limited so online bookings from week to week can be made to ensure a place.

Cycling
Cycle Derby
Cycle Derby runs free lessons (Bikeability) for school children in Derby aged 9 to 14 years old. Children can learn the basics of Montain Biking, BMX and Cycle-X. Adults can also learn to ride or improve cycling skills, technique and confidence at a time and location suitable for you.

Derby Arena Run Hub
We are inviting clubs to be part of our hub, where you can organise club runs from Derby’s iconic Arena. We offer free parking, changing rooms, lockers and a social café, a great way to start and finish any run.
There is no charge to be part of the hub and our aim is to support running clubs by offering a base with great facilities.
We are excited to be able to offer all Run Hub members the corporate discounted membership at the Arena. This gives full access to the gym and all group fitness classes. See the full terms and conditions.
New members must show they are apart of a run group to get access to the discount. Derby Arena members also have access to the brand new 'Your Plan +' sessions. These include 1-2-1 coaching, training plans, nutrition advice and body analysis.

Strength and Conditioning for Runners
Alongside the membership, all runners can book in for our brand new ‘Strength and Conditioning for Runners’ sessions with the gym team. These sessions focus on the importance of strength training for running and sport specific exercises to enhance running techniques, helping to reduce the risk of injury.
