Changes to events and leisure facilities at Derby Arena

The outside of Derby Arena

Mon 21 Dec 2020

As Derby Arena is likely to be used as a vaccination centre, we have taken the decision to reschedule events up to the end of May 2021.

There was already doubt during this period as to how or if these events could take place due to ongoing COVID restrictions, which has already led to shows being rescheduled by promoters since the start of the pandemic.

We hope to reschedule all events and will update customers as each is rescheduled or cancelled. There is no need for existing customers to contact us as our Sales and Information Team will be in touch. Tickets will automatically be transferred to the new date, with the option of a full refund if this date is unsuitable.

The events affected are:

  • British Cycling Youth Omnium Sun 14 Mar 2021, new details to be confirmed
  • Circus of Horrors, Wed 31 Mar 2021, now rescheduled to Fri 21 Jan 2022
  • Seven Drunken Nights, Sat 4 Apr 2021, now rescheduled to Sat 30 Oct 2021
  • Wodmania Sat 10 & Sun 11 Apr 2021, new details to be confirmed
  • Jimmy Carr, Sat 22 May 2021, new details to be confirmed

We will update our websites with new information about these events when this becomes available.

Derby Arena health and fitness facilities are planned to remain open during the operation of the vaccination centre, however the sports hall (infield area) and track cycling are proposed to be closed until May 2021. We will continue to provide an online cycling programme and our sister facility Springwood Leisure Centre can provide an alternative location for indoor sports. For more information see the Derby Arena website.
