Due to essential lift improvement works taking place the lift at Queen's Leisure Centre will not be available for use between 1 and 23 May.

We have tried to answer your questions below, but please contact Queen's Leisure Centre  directly if you need any further information regarding the lift maintenance. We are sorry for any inconvinence caused.

Will you reopen the lift early, if work is completed before 23 May?

Yes, the lift will reopen as soon as all work is completed and the lift is tested and commissioned.

What work is being done?

Work is taking place to replace the controller, indicators and hydraulics.

Why is the work being done?

The lift is now several years old and the work is required to maintain its reliability. The work is also being carried out to ensure the lift continues to comply with Equality Legislation.

Will there be any other lift/access provided?

Unfortunately it is not possible for us to provide an additional access lift during this period. This is due to the limited space available in the entrance and reception area.

Will Livewell sessions still be on?

Please speak to your Livewell Advisor regarding your Livewell session, and if it is still running whilst the lift work is taking place.
