About the event

Derby Libraries Code Club is moving online. Learn the basics of computer programming using Scratch and create simple computer games and animations.

Derby Libraries online Code Club is currently full but we will be running more Code Clubs in 2021. Dates to be confirmed.

If your child is interested in taking part in our Code Clubs you can let us know and we will contact you as soon as the date of the next course is confirmed with information on how to book a place.

Learn the basics of computer programming using Scratch, including how to create simple computer games and animations.

Code Club Online is organised by Derby Libraries and delivered by trained and knowledgeable library staff. Each Club runs as a structured course.. Children learn the basics of computer programming using Scratch, including how to create simple computer games and animations.

The Club is delivered online through the Scratch website. Each week you will be sent an email with a coding project for your child to complete. Your child will need to set up a Scratch account so that their projects can be uploaded onto our Classroom.

Our online Code Club is organised by Derby Libraries and delivered by trained and knowledgeable library staff. Each Club runs as a structured course lasting for 20 weeks. Children learn the basics of computer programming using Scratch, including how to create simple computer games and animations.

Children taking part must be aged from 8 to 13 years old at the start of the course and must be a member of Derby Libraries. It's free to join the library - please see our website for more details.
