About the Event

There will be performances throughout the day in support of the Poppy Appeal.

Kicking off the day will be the Derby Army Cadet Force band. We also have Yasmin Danae’s School of Fitness and Dance, Rolls Royce Lindy Hop dancers, the LRC Pipe Band, 40’s singer Lily Taylor-Ward, and much more …

There will also be a Knit a Poppy Workshop at Derby Museum from 11am - 3pm. You are invited to come and knit, crochet, or create out of felt a poppy to commemorate one of the 7,000 men who fell from Derby City in WW1. Viv Toon has set herself this incredible task to knit 7,000 poppies by November 2018. Free of charge and all ages are welcome.

Volunteering for Derby Poppy Day is a fantastic way for you to help make a difference to the life of someone in the Armed Forces Community. Gather all your friends and family and join us to take part in our iconic street collection.
