About the Event
Enjoy festive food, music, Christmas crafts, free Elf Trail and much more!
The annual Christmas extravaganza features live music, family festive activities, walkabout characters, a craft fair and a bustling outdoor market. Family Festivities at Markeaton Park provides the whole family with the opportunity to buy cards, gifts, decorations and much more in the wonderfully unique Markeaton Park Craft units plus, the outdoor and indoor craft market in the Community Centre. Enjoy festive food from The Orangery, see our festive walkabout characters, or post your printable letter to Father Christmas at the Markeaton North Pole post box.

The Elf Trail
Children will love exploring the picturesque surroundings at Markeaton Park while they take part in the Elf Trail, which is free of charge. Just download a trail map (coming soon) and seek out the wonderfully crafted wooden elf houses hidden throughout the park. Find all the letters and unscramble the festive word for the chance to enter our free prize draw. You could be in with a chance of winning a family ticket for this year’s fantastic pantomime Cinderella at Derby Arena.
Once you have the name, hand it to our post box at Markeaton Park Craft Village or fill out the online form.
