Sat 7 December line-up:
- Ben McPherson
Ben Macpherson is a Writer and Performer from Nottingham and has been seen on stages up and down the country doing everything from Poetry to improv comedy. His work is characterised by his playfulness and sense of mischief best shown in his rhythmic and tightly rhymed poetry. His debut book, serious nonsense for terribly grown up people was published by Big White Shed in May 2023
“Full of Humour and Drive” Michael Rosen
- Eden MW
Part magician, part pirate and part comedian, Eden (they/them) is a one of a kind performer that promises to leave you impressed, amused and a little confused (in the best possible way). One half of “Foolish Manoeuvres", and currently working on their new solo show “Misdirection”, Eden’s comedy is a personal and slightly surreal look into Queerness and Neurodivergence, each note punctuated with a magical miracle unlike anything you’ve seen before.
“Hilariously Unbroadcastable” BBC
“Kept the audience in the palm of their hand in a way that many seasoned comics would envy” Blizzard Comedy
“Eden is a LOT OF FUN and a very funny magician[…]shocked and impressed the audience, whilst keeping the laughs up.” Late Stage Comedy
“LOL!” KT Tunstall
- Dan Webber
Dan Webber (he/him) is an award-winning LGBTQ+ poet and producer based in Derby. He has appeared at Glastonbury Festival, Edinburgh Festival Fringe and as part of the 25th Birthday Celebrations for Leicester Comedy Festival. His first collection ‘Genre Fluid’ was published by Big White Shed in June 2019, a show of the same name was named Best Solo Show at Morecambe Digital Fringe in August 2020.
"When faced with material as witty, earnest, and well-observed as this, the last thing that should concern us is which box it goes in.” Out In Print
“His words are a ride, gliding through intimate storytelling before surging into an eddy of intricate rhymes designed to trip your mind” Marbles Magazine
"Sentimental musings on self, mental health, masculinity, appearance, and place, all delivered with a playful and occasionally giddy appeal." LeftLion Magazine
