This event is promoted by Derby Libraries and Derby Poetry Festival, Derby LIVE are pleased to act as a ticket agent.
Daljit Nagra will be headlining the event supported by a number of local poets showcasing their work.
Daljit is one of the UK’s most celebrated poets. He has won the Forward Prize for Best Individual Poem and Best First Book, the South Bank Show Decibel Award and the Cholmondeley Award. He has been nominated for the Costa Prize and twice for the TS Eliot Prize
His most famous works include Look We Have Coming To Dover! and the collection Tippoo Sultan’s Incredible White-Man Earing Tiger-Toy Machine!!! His version of the Ramayana was nominated for the T.S. Eliot Prize.
Daljit is also the inaugural Poet-in-Residence for Radio 4 & 4 Extra, and presents a weekly programme, Poetry Extra, on Radio 4 Extra.
