Daljit Nagra will be headlining the event supported by a number of local poets showcasing their work to celebrate the launch of Normanton Library in conjunction with Derby Poetry Festival.

Daljit is one of the UK’s most celebrated poets. He has won the Forward Prize for Best Individual Poem and Best First Book, the South Bank Show Decibel Award and the Cholmondeley Award. He has been nominated for the Costa Prize and twice for the TS Eliot Prize.

Daljit is also the inaugural Poet-in-Residence for Radio 4 and 4 Extra, and presents a weekly programme on Radio 4 Extra.
