About the Event
Earn a Blue Peter Book Badge with Shared Reading and Derby Libraries
As part of Derby Book Festival, our libraries will be holding Blue Peter Shared Reading sessions for children aged five to seven.
Led by trained volunteers, the sessions will feature lively performances of poems from Poems Aloud by Children’s Laureate Joseph Coelho, and ee’ll also help children start their application for their very own Blue Peter badge!
Children will be guided to create a drawing inspired by the front cover of this colourful book. Don’t worry, there’s no need for perfection—just creativity!
Then we'll walk you through how to complete a simple book review at home, which will be the final step to submitting an application for the Blue Peter Book badge. It's that easy!
What to bring? Just a smile and a willingness to join in the fun! We’ll provide everything else, from pens and forms to silly voices and lots of creativity.
For children aged five to seven. The session runs from 2pm until 3pm. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
