A unique window into Ancient Rome’s lost cityscape.
We've learned much about Ancient Rome from archaeological and historical sources but now geography can add to this knowledge, as a map cut into stone from the time of the emperor Septimius Severus has recently been put on display. The size of the side of a house, it displays the exact location of many of the buildings from antiquity. In this illustrated talk, some of them will be identified and examined.
