About the Event
Join illustrator Irina Richards and discover the world of Manga - a popular art form that originated in Japan.
In this session, you will learn about different features of Manga style and its history, and create your very own Manga-style character as well as a short Manga-style comic.
All ages and artistic abilities are welcome! Recommended age 6+
About the artist
Irina Richards is a Manga and comics artist, illustrator, and educator. Irina has produced Manga professionally since 2009; she is a member of UK’s first Manga collective and independent publisher, Sweatdrop Studios.
Irina’s books include her 2-volume original Manga title, Chemical Blue, and an instructional book, Creating Manga Characters.
Irina is enthusiastic about all things Manga, and enjoys introducing new audiences to this dynamic and eye-catching art
