About the Event

Learn the basic key features of this particular art form and how you can put them together to create your unique, dynamic illustrations.

“Manga” is a general term for Japanese comic books and graphic novels with a distinct and unique visual style.

In this session you will be guided and encouraged to create a composition that is both expressive and challenging, starting with basic body proportions, clothing, hands, and oversized eyes. Remember, Manga is all about conveying complex emotions, humour, and storytelling. The age range for this is for children aged 7-16, though younger children can be accommodated if they attend as a family and have an adult or older siblings to help support.
