Oscar award-winning film, A Star is Born, comes to Derby LIVE’s outdoor cinema at Markeaton Park showing two artistic souls coming together, on stage and in life.

Seasoned musician Jackson Maine (Bradley Cooper) discovers (and falls in love with) struggling singer-songwriter Ally (Lady Gaga). Ally has just about given up on her dream to make it big as a singer – until Jack sees a natural talent in her and coaxes her into the spotlight. As Ally’s career takes off, Jack’s career begins to deteriorate and begins to put a strain on their relationship and Jack’s ongoing battle with his internal demons.
