Derby Book Festival : Children’s Poetry Workshop

About the Event

A fun session with Derby poet Les Baynton

Performing poems and creating Dragons and Giant poems together, as well as natural themes.
He will explain how his books are created with his illustrator, followed by some readings of his poems. He will then create a group poem together using the children's ideas.

Part of the Family Fun Days with a nature theme celebrating books and words on each park from 11am to 3pm.

Les's illustrated poetry books will be on sale at £3 each.

Please note: You must book in advance.

Suitable for 6-10 year olds.

Parents/carers will need a ticket as well as each child attending. Parents/carers will be required to supervise their children in the session.
Children will be seated on the floor in front of him, so parents are asked to bring a rug or cushion for them to sit on and a fold up chair for themselves.

Please complete a separate order for each bubble/ household so that we can seat you appropriately.
