Join us online to explore the wonders of the night sky from the comforts of your own home. Alvaston Park Friends, with support from Derby Parks, Derby & District Astronomy Society (DDAS), Derby Museums and Derby Libraries, are taking this annual Stargazing celebration online for a voyage exploring the wonders of the night sky.
Join us on this interactive space mission where you can explore a ‘Planet a Day’, take a trip through the night sky with Derby & District Astronomy Society, discover the life cycle of stars and find out about the Galilean moons of Jupiter.
There will also be a series of online videos to enjoy from Derby Museums exploring the artwork of Joseph Wright and John Flamsteed’s star atlas. Why not get involved and create some starry crafts, as well as decorate a window and share your images with us on social media.
