About the Event

Your local expert, Monty Con and your own city of Derby growers and mowers – and of course the ‘Great British Rake Off Team’! Who ask for anything more?

A day to see and buy what plotters and allotmenteers grow on allotment sites in the city centre, to taste the goodies that they create and bake and share the recipes that Mary Cherry will be proud to provide you with!

Tools that have been pre-loved will be for sale together with plants and vegetables of all shapes and sizes. The results of the Shed Competition will be up on display with ‘George Bark and his Amazing Spaces’ and lots of all other local small traders who are connected to the great allotment challenges in our own city of Derby.

See the bees in action and hear what keeps them happy - design your own furniture out of pallets and buy homemade bread and jam to take home for tea. Get your wellies on and see how to laugh yourself fit and healthy with new friends from allotments – and not a flat cap in sight!

Visit Friends of Markeaton Park in the Walled Garden and Craft Village to view a variety of stalls with entertainment and much more!
