Derby Parks Volunteers update Autumn 2017

Darley Park volunteers

Fri 27 Oct 2017

The Derby Parks Volunteers have been working hard this year. Their task schedule is full and you find them beavering away across parks in Derby every Tuesday and Wednesday.

Recent work has included the creation of a windrow at Darley Park. The windrow project not only helped clear an area ready for an archaeological dig; the cut material was used to create a boundary for the village hall garden and in turn a huge linear ‘hedgehog hotel’.

If you would like to join in with their fantastic work, please contact Derby Parks on 01332640789 or e-mail parks@derby.gov.uk or visit www.derbyparksvolunteers.co.uk
