Improvements coming to two of our parks

We've got some exciting work on the way at two of our parks this year, with footpath and entrance upgrades set to make visiting even better for everyone.

Willowcroft Road Recreation Ground

Following the recent refurbishment of the children's play area, work is about to start on improving the paths and entrances at Willowcroft Road Recreation Ground.

Both the Willowcroft Road and Cambridge Street entrances will be getting resurfaced access paths, along with new railings and signage throughout the park. The aim is to make it easier and more welcoming for everyone to get in and enjoy the space.

Chellaston Park

Over in Chellaston, our Parks team has already been busy! In June, they completed two weeks of footpath improvements, focusing on the play area and the nearby paths that get the most use.

The most-needed sections have now been resurfaced and brought up to scratch, with the works funded by the Parks Capital Rolling Programme.
