Little Tins of Loveliness

Patchwork Project

Tue 11 Sep 2018

A new unit has opened at the Craft Village in Markeaton Park this September.

Little Tins of Loveliness want to share their passion for making through courses and workshop and their Little Tins kits.  All developed and delivered by makers who can teach.

Owners Philippa Larkam and Nichola Cunningham have years of experience in their specialist areas, which they want to share.  The courses are more than just learning new skills and techniques; they’re about learning with confidence and the company of like-minded people and tutors.

“It was a lovely class yesterday. It's been such a hectic time at work the class was a little oasis of tranquillity and centeredness.
Thanks both of you for being so in tune and creating the perfect, start to my holiday.”
“I never thought I could have done all that today!”
“I love coming here, it’s always so calm.”

Course participants

Nichola said "We believe that learning should be a positive experience, so with small class sizes we provide an environment for you to progress at your own pace, to build confidence whilst having an enjoyable experience"

"Markeaton Park Craft Village is our great new home, which we have designed and renovated to be a wonderfully spacious and well-equipped studio."

The carefully designed Little Tins kits have beautifully illustrated step-by-step instructions as well as high quality fabrics and components.

A new addition this year, the unit also stocks Merchant and Mills products, a company they have admired for a long time for the quality and function of their products.
