Discover the story and surviving remains of Lincolnshire’s four-mile Edenham and Little Bytham Railway.

Sometimes known as the Edenham and Little Bytham Railway, this was a private line which was both short in length and short in life. Operating on the Lincolnshire Grimsthorpe estate of Lord Willoughby de Eresby, at just over four miles long it ran for eighteen years from 1855 until closure in 1873. Over this period, it provided both goods and passenger services.

At the present day one can see some physical remains of the railway, including earthworks, bridge structures, and buildings in parts of Grimsthorpe.
