About the event
In this online craft event, you will make your very own scrapbook with simple everyday materials (we’ll send you a fact sheet before the event so that you have everything you need ready!) while learning about why people have cut and pasted to create their own records of history over the past 200 years.
We’ll be inspired by Derby Local Studies and Family History Library’s rich collection of scrapbooks, including some documenting Derby’s connections to Captain Scott’s doomed Antarctic Expedition and Florence Nightingale’s fame in the Crimea War, both of which are now available digitally at Derby Libraries Digital History.
