About the Event
A free talk all about Sadler Gate in Derby.
Roger Smith’s book documents a piece of Derby’s social history when Sadler Gate became Derby’s answer to London’s Carnaby Street.
From the mid-sixties onwards Sadler Gate belonged to the young and it became the place to shop and socialise. Besides chronicling the streets most popular businesses between the mid-60s and the end of the 80s, it shares the stories of some of the people who created these iconic outlets along with the memories of their patrons.
Booking essential. Pop into Mickelover Library and talk to the team or phone 01332 647884 to book.
