A phased re-opening of our sites will take place over the next month, allowing as much use of library facilities as is safe and practical at this time.
While we are very much looking forward to seeing our members again, inevitably there will be changes to the services available, and opening hours. The safety of our customers and staff is our priority.

Clemson's Park celebrates 50th anniversary.

A local park which is well-known for its attractive collection of trees has celebrated its 50th anniversary.
Clemson’s Park was donated to the people of Littleover by the Clemson family, and originally formed part of their land behind their property on Burton Road.
Get silly with six weeks of Summer Reading Challenge events

As schools officially break up for the summer, this year’s virtual Summer Reading Challenge is moving up a gear. This year’s theme to keep children reading is the Silly Squad, and Derby Libraries are launching six weeks of fun online events, ideal for families while we get our libraries ready for re-opening.

For this year’s Summer Reading Challenge, let your children join the funniest team in town – the Silly Squad! It’s all about funny books, having a laugh, and putting smiles on young faces.
While libraries in Derby and across the country stay closed due to Covid-19, this year’s challenge is moving online and running from June to September to encourage children to keep reading over the summer, and support parents and carers with children learning at home.
